The Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office Cyber ​​Crimes Bureau has sent 118 suspects to the Ankara Courthouse on allegations of obtaining unfair gain with a high-profit promise through the so-called crypto asset trading platform “Smart Trade Coin.”

What happened? The Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office Cyber ​​Crimes Bureau had initiated an investigation into 152 suspects accused of establishing, managing, and being a member of an organization for the purpose of committing a crime, “qualified fraud,” and “money laundering of assets derived from crime,” for allegedly obtaining unfair gain through the so-called crypto asset trading platform “Smart Trade Coin” with the promise of high profit.
In an operation coordinated by the Ankara Provincial Police Cybercrimes Department and Cybercrime Combat Branch Directorate in 22 provinces across Ankara, 118 suspects were apprehended.
According to the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) report obtained as part of the investigation, numerous properties, vehicles, bank accounts, company and cooperative shares, and crypto assets that could be subject to money laundering and asset confiscation were seized by court order.
