A fire broke out in the Söğütlü neighborhood of the Çukurova district. Citizens who saw the fire reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Forest fire fighting teams from the Adana Forestry Regional Directorate and teams from the Adana Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department were dispatched to the area.
The fire, which was determined to have started from stubble, spread to a short wooded area. After about 2 hours of intervention, the fire was brought under control.
Cooling efforts are continuing in the fire.
