Brendan Paul, a former college basketball player turned music producer, was arrested at a Florida airport for possession of cocaine and marijuana candy. In a video of his arrest, he appeared glum and resigned, being led in handcuffs from a US Customs and Border Protection building to a Miami-Dade Police car. Despite his arrest, Paul said nothing as he was placed inside the vehicle. After the arrest, he bonded out of jail, but his current whereabouts are unknown. The drugs found on him have not been linked to music executive Diddy, who is currently under federal investigation.

Paul was an unlikely figure in a lawsuit filed against Diddy and others by music producer Rodney Jones, who claimed that Paul was Diddy’s “drug mule” and obtained firearms for him. Originally from Ohio, Paul attended private high schools before going on to Syracuse University in New York. He later transferred to Fairmont State University in West Virginia for his junior and senior years. After college, Paul transitioned to amateur music production during the pandemic and eventually produced for Diddy on The Love Album, released in September. Despite his involvement in the lawsuit, Paul has not made any public comments on the matter since his arrest.

Following Paul’s arrest, federal agents conducted raids on Diddy’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles as part of an investigation into sex trafficking charges against the music mogul. Diddy’s attorneys have criticized the raids as part of a larger “witch hunt” and have vowed to disprove the rumors and allegations surrounding him. It remains unclear if Paul’s arrest and the subsequent raids on Diddy’s properties are connected in any way. As the investigation unfolds, more details may emerge regarding Paul’s involvement and any potential connection to Diddy. Despite the legal troubles faced by both men, their exact roles in the larger investigation remain unclear.
