A fire broke out on the roof of a building on Mesopotamia Street in Fırat Neighborhood for unknown reasons. Upon notification, emergency health, fire brigade, and police teams were dispatched to the area to respond to the fire.

During the intervention to the fire, one of the two firefighters who were trapped on the roof among the flames tried to descend down using a hose. The firefighter, however, got injured when he fell to the ground as he approached it.

The other two firefighters were affected by the smoke as they tried to contain the fire. All three firefighters were transported to hospitals in the city by ambulances for treatment. In addition, some parts of the roof detached and fell, causing damage to the businesses on the ground floor of the building. With the support of the TOMA intervention vehicles, the teams are continuing their efforts to extinguish the fire.
