She emphasized that the show would be nothing without its audience and appreciated the feedback received from fans.

The CBS series follows inmate Bode as he has the chance to shorten his prison sentence by volunteering for the California Conservation Camp Program. In season 2, Bode is back in prison after taking the fall for drugs that weren’t his, while several offscreen character changes occurred. Napolitano highlighted how the show’s characters connect with each other, emphasizing the diverse personalities in the writers’ room that contribute to the show’s storytelling. She also discussed the upcoming challenges that the characters will face, hinting at the struggles they will experience in the second half of the season.

Napolitano addressed the decision to kill off Cara in season 2, explaining that it was always the plan to complicate the storyline by removing a central character. She discussed the impact of Cara’s death on the other characters and how it will shape their arcs going forward. Napolitano also hinted at the development of a new normal for Genevieve and the primary caretakers in her life.
