A fire broke out in the motor section of an escalator at the Şişli-Mecidiyeköy metro station for reasons that have not yet been determined. Upon receiving the report, fire, health, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire was quickly extinguished with the intervention of the fire department. A security guard who was affected by the smoke was taken to the hospital for treatment.
