The upcoming fall iPhone releases are generating a lot of excitement with reports suggesting a range of new features. These features include different displays on some models, a new strategy for the new-generation processors, advanced camera lenses, improved OLED displays, better battery life, and an improved main camera sensor. The latest report indicates a change in colors for the iPhone Pro models, utilizing a technology that perfectly matches the top-of-the-range iPhones.

According to a report by 9to5Mac, the rear glass on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be created in a new way, previously only seen on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. This departure from the usual trend where new features are introduced in the Pro models before trickling down to the regular models is intriguing and suggests Apple is looking to set the Pro models apart in terms of design and features.

A post by prolific leaker ShrimpApplePro suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro will be available in four colors using color-infused glass technology. The leaker initially referenced the “vanilla iPhone 16” but later clarified that it was meant to be “16 Pro.” This new color technology for the Pro models is reminiscent of the ground-breaking technique introduced with the iPhone 15, which involved creating color-infused glass in a single piece with a textured matte finish, marking a first for smartphones.

The colors revealed on the iPhone 15 were subtle and understated, with a textured matte finish that looked almost white in certain lighting conditions. Only the pink and black colors stood out with deeper hues. The introduction of this technique on the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro models aligns well with the Pro lineup’s tradition of offering quieter shades and minimalist designs, though some reports suggest a shinier antenna band may be added this year.

The predicted colors for the iPhone 16 Pro models include Space Black, Gray, White, and Rose. It is speculated that the Rose finish may be a more muted hue compared to the iPhone 15 or possibly incorporate elements of rose gold if the antenna band features a golden color, as also predicted. With the matte finish seen on the iPhone 15 and Apple’s reputation for exceptional color choices, the Pro models for this year could potentially be the most aesthetically pleasing yet.
