Mirra, a new virtual reality entertainment center located in Bellevue, Washington, offers a unique and immersive gaming experience. The venue resembles an upscale gastropub, with a central screen dominating the space and displaying various images when games are not in session. Mirra’s focus is on providing an immersive party game experience for teams of players competing in casual challenges within the virtual reality gaming zone. The center offers a rotating selection of original virtual reality games designed for groups of up to 32 people in teams of 2 to 8.

During a preview event at Mirra, attendees had the opportunity to play four original games: Hyper Rhythm, Bubble Boom, Laser Room, and Hockey Smash. These games were built in Unreal Engine and offered a variety of challenges and gameplay styles. Players were equipped with Meta Quest 3 headsets and competed in rounds that involved dodging obstacles, breaking bubbles, and engaging in virtual air hockey matches. Points were awarded based on final rankings in each game, with the highest scorer at the end of the night becoming the first champion at Mirra.

Mirra’s founder and owner, Sam Wang, who has a background in the Chinese film industry and VR startups, emphasized the immersive nature of the center’s VR experience. Wang noted that Mirra’s first location in Bellevue was chosen due to the local connections of the co-founders and the appealing nature of Washington state. The venue aims to provide one of the most immersive VR experiences available, drawing on Wang’s expertise and passion for virtual reality technology.

In addition to the gaming experience, Mirra offers a diverse menu for patrons to enjoy. The fusion cuisine menu includes items such as beef sliders, vegetarian flatbread pizza, corn on the cob, jumbo shrimp, steamed chicken dumplings, lamb skewers, and more. The full menu will cater to various dietary preferences, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options. The pricing structure for Mirra revolves around group activities, with packages available for events such as launch-day promotions that include a drink, post-game food platter, and an hour of VR gaming.

Mirra has already generated interest from potential clients looking to host multimedia presentations, conferences, or interactive art events at the venue. The central screen at Mirra can be utilized for a variety of purposes beyond gaming, showcasing the venue’s versatility and potential for hosting diverse events. While the initial focus is on VR gaming, Mirra aims to expand its offerings and become a hub for interactive entertainment in the Bellevue area. Overall, Mirra provides a unique and engaging experience for gamers and event organizers alike, combining cutting-edge technology with a social and immersive atmosphere.
