In the 1980s, pop star Tiffany achieved international stardom with her cover of Tommy James and the Shondells’ “I Think We’re Alone Now,” knocking Michael Jackson’s song “Bad” off the No. 1 spot in the Billboard charts. Two weeks later, she had a memorable encounter with Jackson at his concert in L.A., where he was described as lovely.
