This curated guide highlights the latest and most exciting fashion drops, hotel openings, restaurant debuts, and cultural happenings in New York City. This week’s luxury list includes Boucheron’s Manhattan debut, goop’s furniture collection launch, and an Alvin Ailey exhibition at the Whitney Museum.

Boucheron recently opened its first boutique in the United States on Madison Avenue near 65th Street, marking its Manhattan debut. The 3,900-square-foot space draws inspiration from the Art Deco period and features vintage pieces and reproductions of iconic jewelry. Visitors can explore gems such as a brooch worn by Elizabeth Taylor and pieces made for Cornelius Vanderbilt.

MoMA’s new exhibition, “Life Dances On: Robert Frank in Dialogue,” showcases six decades of the artist’s work, including photographs, films, and books. The exhibit offers a closer look at Frank’s contributions beyond “The Americans” and his unique perspective on American life. The exhibition will run until January 11, 2025.

The latest collection by goop for CB2 debuted with 25 pieces inspired by modern Parisian apartments and mid-century modernist furniture. Gwyneth Paltrow describes the range as elegant and daring, featuring materials like plaster, shearling, and lacquer. The collection includes furniture, lighting, and textiles that are both sophisticated and timeless.

The Riff Raff Club, located on the 39th floor of the Virgin Hotel in NoMad, is a new lounge paying homage to New York City’s drinking establishments of the past. Helmed by Charles Joly, the bar offers classic cocktails alongside elaborate new concoctions. Guests can also explore a “liquid library” of vintage spirits dating back nearly a century.

“Edges of Ailey” is a large-scale exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art dedicated to the artist and choreographer Alvin Ailey. The exhibition features works by over 80 artists and items from Ailey’s archives, as well as a program of live dance performances and classes. The Ailey organization will be in residence at the museum for one week each month, offering workshops and performances by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
