A 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck the district of Doğanşehir in Malatya, Turkey at 10:48 am according to information on the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) website. The quake occurred at a depth of approximately 13.9 kilometers. Following the earthquake, some residents were observed leaving their homes and workplaces to go to open areas for safety.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya expressed his condolences to those affected by the earthquake and provided an update on the situation. He stated that all relevant authorities, including AFAD, had begun field surveys following the 4.5 magnitude earthquake in Malatya Doğanşehir. Yerlikaya assured that there were no negative developments at the moment and that they were monitoring the situation closely.

Malatya Governor Ersin Yazıcı also extended his well wishes to the people of the city following the earthquake. So far, there have been no reports of any negative incidents received at the 112 Command Center. Yazıcı mentioned that their teams were continuing their checks in the field to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents.
