Google Flights offers a lowest-price guarantee program for select itineraries. The program is designed to ensure that travelers are getting the best price possible for their flights. If the price of a flight drops after booking, Google will refund the price difference back to the traveler through Google Pay. The price guarantee is available on routes that have a colorful price guarantee badge, which indicates that Google is confident the price will not decrease before takeoff. Travelers can receive up to $500 per Google account across all eligible itineraries in a calendar year.

The price guarantee is not limited to bookings made directly on Google, but also to select itineraries booked through airlines or travel agencies’ websites. Travelers must be signed in to their Google account when making the booking to be eligible for the price guarantee. The country/region must be set to the US, the currency in USD, and the flights must depart from the US. Additionally, a US billing address and phone number must be used on the booking form. The program is available for both one-way and round-trip flights.

To be eligible for the price guarantee, travelers must select a flight with the price guarantee badge and book the badged itinerary through checkout. All flights in the itinerary must have the price guarantee badge for the program to be valid. Travelers can have up to three open price-guarantee bookings at a time, as long as the first flight in the itinerary has not yet departed. The payout from Google will be processed within 48 hours after the first flight in the booked itinerary takes off.

If travelers book their flights on an airline or travel agency website, they can still be eligible for the price guarantee as long as they follow the necessary steps. The booked itinerary must match with all components, including the airline, flight number, dates, number of passengers, fare and cabin class, and cancellation policy. Travelers must select the price guarantee booking option on the airline or travel agency website and confirm the booking with Google to activate the price guarantee program.

Google will monitor the price of the flight every day until takeoff. If there is a price drop, travelers will be asked to confirm that they booked the flight. By following the instructions sent via email, travelers can provide their confirmation number and last name to receive the refund of the price difference. The price guarantee program aims to provide travelers with peace of mind when booking flights, knowing that they will always get the best available price for their travel plans. Travelers should take advantage of this program to save money on their flights and enjoy a stress-free booking experience.
