Brittany Cartwright expressed her frustration with her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, during an argument on their podcast “When Reality Hits.” She shared how she always defended Taylor and took up for him in various situations to make him look better, although her co-star noted that it was unnecessary. Cartwright mentioned that being loyal and supportive was like a job to her.

During the podcast, Cartwright referenced their past nine years of marriage, prompting Taylor to correct her by saying she was still married to him. Despite Taylor’s comments, Cartwright continued to express how she stood up for him constantly and felt it was her duty as a loyal wife. She mentioned that it was difficult for her to defend Taylor, especially when he took credit for creating their new show, “The Valley.”

The couple, who announced their separation last month after almost five years of marriage, admitted that their relationship had been challenging, and Cartwright emphasized that they were taking time apart for her mental health. Their breakup was confirmed to be genuine and not a publicity stunt, according to a representative for the former couple. Taylor and Cartwright were previously seen living separately, and Cartwright later revealed that one of the reasons for the split was Taylor’s lack of interest in sex.

Cartwright clarified that after nine years together, some people start taking each other for granted in a relationship, and that should not happen in a marriage. The couple tied the knot in Kentucky in June 2019 after dating for four years and welcomed their son, Cruz, in April 2021. Despite their challenges, Cartwright and Taylor are taking the necessary steps to prioritize their mental health and well-being as they navigate their separation. With their split being made public, the couple is honest about the difficulties they faced in their marriage and are working towards finding a resolution.
