The ongoing trial of Hunter Biden in Wilmington, Delaware has showcased details about his relationship with a 24-year-old stripper, his severe addiction to crack cocaine, and how this addiction led to the end of his first marriage. Testimony from witnesses such as FBI agent Erika Jensen, Biden’s ex-girlfriend Zoe Kestan, and his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle, shed light on his struggles with drug abuse. The charges against Biden include making a false statement in the purchase of a gun, related to information required to be kept by a federally-licensed gun dealer, and possession of a gun by an unlawful user of a controlled substance. If convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison and hefty fines.

Kestan testified about her relationship with Biden, describing his rampant drug abuse and how she was involved in helping him obtain crack cocaine. She shared details of their time together in luxury hotel rooms where Biden would smoke crack and expressed his desire to get sober. Photos presented in court showed evidence of drug use, including crack pipes, bottles of liquor, and even a photo of Biden in a bubble bath with Kestan. The jurors were informed that Biden even learned how to cook crack cocaine.

Biden’s ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle, also provided emotional testimony about her concerns over his drug use, which ultimately led to the end of their marriage. She described finding a crack pipe at their home and the measures she took to protect their daughters from being exposed to drugs. Buhle spoke of her fears and how she tried to salvage their relationship, including participating in couple’s therapy before their marriage ended. Her testimony resonated with the jury, who were seen taking notes and paying close attention.

Following Kestan and Buhle’s testimony, Gordon T. Cleveland, the gun shop employee who sold Biden the revolver in 2018, took the stand. Cleveland detailed the events surrounding the purchase, including Biden’s choice of the gun, ammunition, and a BB gun that had the appearance of a real handgun. He testified that Biden checked off a box on the federal gun form stating he was not addicted to drugs. Cleveland’s testimony highlighted the circumstances of the gun purchase, challenging the defense’s argument that it was rushed.

Throughout the trial, Biden’s family members, including stepmother Jill Biden, have been present in court. Jill Biden has been seen supporting him from a front-row seat. The prosecution announced they have six additional witnesses set to testify, with the potential for resting their case as soon as Thursday afternoon. Biden’s former romantic partner and sister-in-law, Hallie Biden, may be among the witnesses called to testify. The defense team’s witnesses will take the stand after the prosecution rests their case, as the trial continues to unfold in the coming days.
