Laura Kim, the co-founder of Monse and co-creative director of Oscar de la Renta, has launched her own line of tabletop and furniture for Crate & Barrel. The collection includes 100 stylish pieces such as wood dining tables, marble boards, petal-inspired plates, pillows, glasses, and measuring cups. Kim aims to introduce products that make each day beautiful and delightful.

Known for her culinary artistry and elite entertaining skills, Kim regularly posts delectable content on her Instagram, showcasing her festive dinner parties and intricate desserts. Her serveware collection reflects her passion for food and entertaining. Kim shares her top entertaining tips, emphasizing the importance of simple tablescapes with varying textures and elevations, drawn from seasonal inspirations and menu complementarity.

Inspired by her tiny rooftop garden in Soho, Kim’s collection features botanical prints and hand-etched glasses that reflect the joy she finds in growing plants. She recommends incorporating plants and flowers into creating a party vibe, especially during her favorite season, summer. Kim’s signature dishes include a roasted rainbow carrot salad and a cake baked in a scalloped pan, which she would present beautifully at a dinner party using pieces from her collection.

Kim and her partner, Linus Adolfsson, are known for hosting dinners for a large group, favoring long communal tables reminiscent of the Last Supper. The dining tables from her Crate & Barrel collaboration can easily be combined to create this elongated seating arrangement for large gatherings. Kim’s collection also features a dog wine stopper inspired by her rescue goldendoodle, King, who is not interested in fame but focused on sports.

Kim’s collection includes embossed rolling pins that create beautiful patterns on dough, inspired by eyelet fabric for summer. These rolling pins are perfect for creating intricate patterns on butter cookies. As summer approaches, Kim recommends the berry bowl from her collection as the perfect house-guest gift. She designed the smaller size to offer a practical and thoughtful gift option, pairing it with market-fresh fruit for a complete present.
