Chris Brown released a diss track called “Weakest Link” aimed at Quavo in which he made scathing remarks about having sex with Saweetie while she was still in a relationship with Quavo. Brown implied that he was seeking revenge for Quavo’s actions and hinted at singing about the situation in future music. While Brown did not directly mention Saweetie’s name, he used the word “sweet” before discussing the situation in the lyrics.

After the diss track was released, Saweetie took to Twitter to announce that she would rewrite the verse for her upcoming song, “Nani.” Despite reaching out for comment, Saweetie’s representative had not responded at the time. Brown also mentioned the tragic death of Takeoff, a member of Migos, who was shot and killed in November 2022. Brown paid tribute to Takeoff in the song and suggested that many people had wished Quavo had died instead.

Quavo responded to the diss track by sharing a meme on Instagram Stories, appearing to brush off the situation. The animosity between Brown and Quavo dates back to 2017 when they allegedly got into a physical altercation after a BET Awards afterparty. This incident occurred shortly after Quavo was seen with Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Karrueche. Brown referenced Quavo’s past relationships in his music, and Quavo retaliated with a track mentioning Brown’s abuse of Rihanna.

This is not the first time Brown has called out Quavo in his music, as he previously referenced Quavo’s relationship with actress Karrueche. Despite the ongoing tension between the two artists, they have continued to take shots at each other through their music. The diss track “Weakest Link” highlights the ongoing feud between Chris Brown and Quavo, fueled by personal and professional grievances that have yet to be resolved. The situation between the two artists continues to escalate through their music.
