The prestigious French football UNFP trophy ceremony was held at the Pavillon d’Armenonville in Paris, delivering its verdict on the best players, coaches, and goalkeepers of the year. Tabitha Chawinga, the PSG striker, was crowned the best player in the women’s D1 Arkéma league, leading with 18 goals and 10 assists. For her first season in France, Chawinga succeeded Delphine Cascarino as the recipient of this prestigious award.

Highly anticipated at the ceremony was Kylian Mbappé, who has recently announced his departure from Paris Saint-Germain to join Real Madrid. Mbappé was named the Best Player at the UNFP trophies, receiving praise from Vincent Labrune, the boss of LFP, for his contributions to Ligue 1 and France. The detailed list of trophy winners included Gianluigi Donnarumma as the Best Goalkeeper, Eric Roy as the Best Coach, and Kamory Doumbia for the Best Goal in Ligue 1.

In Ligue 2, Gauthier Hein was awarded the Best Player, while Gautier Larsonneur received the Best Goalkeeper award. Christophe Pélissier was honored as the Best Coach, and Irvin Cardona was recognized for the Best Goal in the league. The Best XI in Ligue 2 included top players such as Gautier Larsonneur, Himad Abdelli, and Loïs Diony, among others.

The D1 Arkema league saw Tabitha Chawinga named as the Best Player, while Chiamaka Nnadozie was awarded the Best Goalkeeper. Louna Ribadeira received the Best Youngster award, and a stellar lineup was formed for the Best XI in the league. Notable players included Sakina Karchaoui, Griedge Mbock, and Delphine Cascarino, highlighting the talent in women’s football.

Other rewards at the UNFP ceremony included Antoine Griezmann being named the Best French Player Abroad, and Raphaël Varane receiving the “Citizen” Player award. The French 1984 team, who were Olympic champions, were also honored with the Trophy of Honor, celebrating their historic achievements in football.
