Ankara representative 1926 Polatlı Belediye, who competes in the Regional Amateur League Group 6, was involved in a collision on the Sivrihisar-Polatlı highway at the Bademlik location with a car driven by Sakine Özpamuk while traveling in the same direction as the car carrying the fans who attended the match against Eskişehirspor. The minibus driven by Samet Işık, carrying the fans, was hit by the car driven by Özpamuk.

As the traffic team accompanying the fan group’s minibus took security measures and prepared a report for the damaged accident, the car driven by B.Ö. collided with the team car parked on the side of the road, the minibus, and the fan group waiting on the side of the road after the accident. In the crash, 10 people were injured. Following the reports from the locals, health and firefighting teams were dispatched to the area to assist.

The injured individuals were transported to hospitals in Polatlı and Eskişehir by health teams, and it was reported that the condition of three of the injured was critical. Due to the accident, a long line of vehicles formed in the direction of Ankara on the highway. Following the efforts of the teams, traffic on the highway started to be conducted in a controlled manner with one lane open.

The incident was a result of a collision between a car and a minibus carrying fans of the Ankara-based football team 1926 Polatlı Belediye on the way back from an away match. As the car collided with the minibus and also hit the team car and the fan group waiting on the side of the road, a total of 10 individuals were injured in the accident. The injured were promptly taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, with three of them reported to be in critical condition.

Following the collision, a traffic jam occurred on the highway towards Ankara, causing disruptions in the flow of vehicles. However, the authorities managed to open one lane for controlled traffic to move ahead, after conducting thorough investigations and ensuring the safety of the area. The incident stands as a reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for drivers to be cautious and attentive while driving, especially during match days when fans are traveling to and from the venues. It also highlights the response and coordination among emergency services in handling such unforeseen situations swiftly and effectively to minimize any further risks and ensure the well-being of those affected.
