While the disorder typically starts in the upper body and later affects the lower body, making walking difficult and increasing the risk of falls. Despite the challenging diagnosis, Dion found a sense of relief upon finally receiving an explanation for her symptoms, allowing her to move forward with the knowledge and support of her medical team.

In her ongoing battle with stiff person syndrome, Dion has been diligently undergoing treatment to manage her symptoms. She engages in athletic, physical, and vocal therapy five times a week, focusing on various aspects of her body and voice to maintain her health and well-being. Despite the ongoing nature of the disease, Dion remains resilient in her approach, choosing to tackle her condition like an athlete and working tirelessly to be the best version of herself. She hopes to continue defying the limitations imposed by the disorder and expresses her determination to see the Eiffel Tower again.

In an effort to raise awareness about stiff person syndrome and provide insight into her personal journey with the condition, Dion will be releasing a documentary titled “I Am: Celine Dion” on Prime Video on June 25. This intimate portrayal will offer viewers a glimpse into her life, showcasing the challenges she faces as she navigates living with the disorder while maintaining her passion for music and performance.
