Cage The Elephant has made a return to the charts this week with their new album, Neon Pill. Despite the success of singles like the title track, the album has debuted low on the Billboard 200 at No. 57. This marks one of the band’s least impressive placements on the main albums tally, considering their dedicated fan base.

In its first tracking period, Neon Pill sold 15,330 equivalent units, with about half of those being actual sales. The album sold 8,972 copies after its release, contributing to its debut on the Billboard 200. This album now stands as the second-lowest-charting album for Cage The Elephant, with only their self-titled debut album ranking lower on the chart at No. 171.

Despite the initial low debut on the Billboard 200, Cage The Elephant’s self-titled debut album gained popularity over time and eventually peaked at No. 67. Their following albums have all seen success on the Billboard 200, with Thank You, Happy Birthday missing out on a No. 1 spot by one place. Their most recent album before Neon Pill, Social Cues, peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard 200.

While Neon Pill may not have performed well on the Billboard 200, it has seen success on other Billboard charts. The album ranks at No. 6 on the Top Album Sales chart, No. 4 on the Vinyl Albums list, and No. 7 on the Top Alternative Albums chart. Despite its low debut on the main albums tally, Neon Pill has shown success in other areas, showcasing Cage The Elephant’s continued popularity in the music industry.
