As BTS members continue their hiatus, fans are eager to see what the group is up to. Currently, all seven members are enlisted in the South Korean military, as required by law. Despite this, some members are still producing solo material, with RM, the group’s leader, recently releasing a new single titled “Come Back to Me.”

The new single, “Come Back to Me,” has quickly climbed the charts, reaching No. 3 on iTunes’ ranking of the bestselling songs in America. This puts RM behind only Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s collaboration, as well as Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” Additionally, a second version of the song is also charting on iTunes, with the radio edit sitting just below the top 10 at No. 13.

“Come Back to Me” is the first track from RM’s upcoming solo album, titled Right Place, Wrong Person, set to be released later this month. Despite being unable to participate in traditional promotion due to his military service, RM’s new album is expected to be a commercial success when it drops in a few weeks.

This is not RM’s first venture into solo music, as he previously released his debut album, Indigo, in 2022, as well as two mixtapes titled RM and Mono in 2015 and 2018, respectively. The success of “Come Back to Me” on iTunes is a promising sign for the upcoming album, as all three versions of the single will be combined by Billboard for charting purposes.

RM’s solo career continues to gain traction, with his fan base showing strong support for his new music. With multiple versions of “Come Back to Me” performing well on iTunes, it is likely that the single will become a hit on various sales-focused rosters. As BTS fans eagerly await the group’s return, solo projects like RM’s serve as a reminder of the talented individuals that make up the popular boy band.
