Bravo’s fan convention BravoCon will not be taking place this year as the cable TV network recently announced that the event will return to Las Vegas in 2025. The convention is set to be held from November 14 to November 16 at Caesars Forum. Although Bravo promises that the 2025 convention will be ‘worth the wait,’ this decision comes amidst mounting lawsuits by former stars alleging workplace harassment and discrimination. Some of these lawsuits include claims of discrimination, hostile work environments, and workplace pressure to consume alcohol, leading to relapses.

The cancellation of BravoCon for this year has opened the door for other opportunities in 2024 for ‘Bravoholics’ to interact with their favorite Bravo stars and celebrate their fandom. One such event, titled ‘Watch Party by Bravo,’ is scheduled for spring and will be held in both Los Angeles and New York. Although details on these events are limited, Bravo has indicated that they will feature advance screenings and sneak peeks of upcoming shows on the network. The convention first started in New York City in 2020 and has since grown in popularity, attracting large numbers of both fans and Bravo celebrities.

The 2023 BravoCon saw 27,000 fans attend the event in Las Vegas, along with 160 ‘Bravolebrities,’ including well-known stars like Ariana Madix and Kyle Richards. Past conventions have featured numerous panels and events related to Bravo’s popular programs, offering fans the chance to tailor their experience to meet and hear from their favorite Bravo stars. Ticket options have included single day passes as well as full weekend passes for those looking to fully immerse themselves in the BravoCon experience.

The ongoing lawsuits against Bravo and several current and former stars have brought added attention to the network. Leah McSweeney, a former star from The Real Housewives of New York City, is currently suing Bravo and Andy Cohen for alleged discrimination and hostile work environments, claiming that the show’s culture was detrimental to her well-being. Other lawsuits involve claims of harassment, assault, and discrimination, painting a troubling picture of the behind-the-scenes environment on some Bravo shows.

Among the legal battles facing Bravo, former stars have alleged workplace harassment and discrimination, leading to a series of lawsuits. These cases involve claims of racial harassment, physical assault, and hostile work environments, with some stars accusing fellow cast members and production staff of inappropriate behavior. In several instances, Bravo itself is being named in the lawsuits, highlighting the need for changes in the network’s treatment of its talent and ensuring a safe and respectful workplace for all involved. The ongoing legal issues underscore the complex and challenging nature of reality television production.

Despite the cancellation of BravoCon this year, fans can look forward to its return in 2025, promising new and exciting opportunities to engage with Bravo stars and celebrate the network’s programming. In the meantime, Bravo has announced other events in 2024 for fans to connect with their favorite stars and preview upcoming shows. The legal challenges facing Bravo and its stars highlight the importance of fostering a safe and inclusive workplace environment in the entertainment industry. As the network navigates these legal hurdles, it will be crucial to prioritize the well-being and safety of all individuals involved in its productions.
