Bill Maher has launched Club Random Studios, a podcast network focused on promoting “authenticity from unfiltered celebrity voices.” The network’s first show, “The Sage Steele Show,” hosted by Sage Steele, is set to premiere on March 27th. Upcoming guests include Dana White, Howie Mandel, and Sharon Osbourne. Maher’s inspiration for creating the network comes from the unique style of his own podcast and a desire to provide a platform for a variety of voices that listeners would find interesting.

Club Random will also acquire NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett’s podcast “KG Certified” and develop new shows in-house. Musician Billy Corgan and Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst will also host their own podcasts on the platform. Maher emphasizes the importance of creating a nighttime feel in the podcasts and building connections with guests during the episodes. As Maher expands into the realm of audio with Club Random Studios, his long-running TV show “Real Time” has been renewed for two more seasons at HBO and will also air on CNN.

Despite the expansion of his TV show and podcast network, Maher remains focused on the upcoming election and avoiding preemptively giving in to anxiety surrounding the potential outcome. He acknowledges the polarization within the country and the uncertainty of the political landscape. Maher’s decision to join CNN with “Real Time” has raised questions about how the show’s content will be received by the cable news audience, given its distinct style compared to other programs on the network. Maher remains unfazed by the potential reactions, expressing excitement about this new opportunity for his show.

Regarding recent reports about his agent, Maher clarifies that no decisions have been made about leaving CAA. While rumors suggested that he was unhappy with the agency, Maher emphasizes that he has had a positive experience with CAA and is still evaluating his options. He stresses the importance of considering all moves in show business and acknowledges the need to constantly earn one’s place in the industry. Maher expresses gratitude for his current agent and indicates that rumors of his discontent are unfounded. Despite the speculation surrounding his future in representation, Maher remains focused on building his podcast network and continuing his work with “Real Time.”
