Aubrey O’Day reacted to the disturbing footage of Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie, warning abuse survivors or those who may be triggered by the images. O’Day expressed prayers for Diddy’s victims, including Cassie and the late Kim Porter, and her history with Diddy dates back to the early 2000s when she was part of the girl group Danity Kane.

In a 2022 episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, O’Day claimed she was fired from Danity Kane because she wasn’t willing to do what was expected of her, alleging that Diddy did not respond to her claims. O’Day also accused Diddy of trying to buy her silence by offering her publishing rights on his label, Bad Boy Records, to keep people quiet about his alleged abuse.

Cassie, who dated Diddy on and off from 2007 to 2018, named the rapper in a lawsuit accusing him of rape and repeated physical abuse. O’Day was an advocate for Cassie and supported her when she came forward with the allegations, believing that it was time for people to put some respect on her name and take her seriously.

Diddy denied all the claims made against him, including those from Cassie, and his lawyer Ben Brafman released a statement refuting the allegations. Despite the legal battle and the allegations made by Cassie, the exes reached an agreement to resolve the matter amicably, with Diddy expressing his well wishes for Cassie and her family in a statement.

O’Day criticized the settlement reached between Diddy and Cassie, suggesting that money was valued more than accountability in the situation. The resurfaced footage of Diddy and Cassie released on Friday further confirmed the predatory behavior of Mr. Combs, according to Cassie’s lawyer Douglas Wigdor, who commended Cassie for her courage in coming forward to expose the behavior. Diddy, however, has not yet addressed the video footage or provided a response to the allegations.
