A fire broke out in a house in the village of Şahinkaya, which is owned by A.Y., due to an electrical panel. After receiving the notification, the village was dispatched to the village by gendarmerie, fire brigade, and health teams.

The flames, which spread to the barn and the haystack, were extinguished by the fire brigade teams affiliated to Çorum and İskilip municipalities in about 4 hours. Approximately 55 sheep died in the incident, and around 100 haystacks burned.

The authorities indicated that the fire originated from the electrical panel in the house and quickly spread to the surrounding areas. The fire caused significant damage to the property and led to the loss of livestock and stored hay.

Efforts to control the fire were successfully carried out by the coordinated response of the fire brigade teams from two municipalities. The fire, which posed a threat to the surrounding houses and properties, was eventually contained and put out before causing further damage.

The villagers expressed their gratitude to the emergency response teams for their swift action in containing the fire and preventing it from spreading further. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of proper electrical safety measures in homes and buildings to prevent similar incidents in the future.
