Anna Delvey, a former fraudster turned socialite, has now expanded her career into the fashion industry. At 33 years old, she will make her official debut as a runway model at New York Fashion Week, closing out a show for the designer SHAO New York. Delvey is also one of the co-founders of Outlaw Agency, which produced the show in collaboration with PR maven Kelly Cutrone. Despite her own participation in the runway show, Delvey downplays her role and expresses excitement for the opportunity.

The polished nature of the runway show at The Altman Building in Chelsea is a departure from Delvey’s previous guerrilla rooftop show in 2023. With this new venture, Delvey is free from house arrest, allowing her to participate in projects like producing runway shows and appearing on shows like “Dancing with the Stars.” The Outlaw Agency is now fully operational, starting with the Wednesday night showcase that features three different designers. Delvey notes that working with more freedom and fewer restrictions presents its own set of challenges.

While Delvey is primarily focused on communication and marketing for the agency, she is also learning from her co-founder, Cutrone, a well-known figure in the public relations industry. The duo aims to create a hybrid communications agency that leverages Delvey’s social media skills and Cutrone’s expertise. Cutrone highlights how Delvey’s time at Rikers Island has equipped her to handle various situations, including managing a fashion crowd. Cutrone describes their partnership as positive and impactful, leading to personal growth for both individuals.

During the various runway shows, models showcased pieces that paid homage to New York City’s style and culture. From streetwear to glamorous ensembles, the shows featured a mix of traditional and bold designs. Despite a minor disruption from a catwalk crasher, the shows continued smoothly, capturing the essence of each designer’s aesthetic. The partnership with Pornhub for the shows may appear unconventional, but it aligns with the site’s interest in counter-cultural and controversial collaborations.

Alexzandra Kekesi, VP of brand and community at Pornhub, sees Delvey as a misunderstood figure who is making a positive impact through her reemergence in the fashion industry. Kekesi praises Delvey’s personality, describing her as funny and smart. Delvey’s ankle monitor is still visible, but her newfound freedom allows her to pursue new projects and expand her career. Despite her reluctance to be a model at her age, Delvey is enthusiastic about her involvement in the fashion world.

Cutrone and Delvey, who live together in Cutrone’s Hudson Valley home, have developed a close relationship as colleagues turned confidants. Cutrone reflects on their partnership positively, noting that it has enriched both of their lives. Their collaboration at Outlaw Agency is thriving, showcasing the potential of their combined skills and experience. With Delvey’s transition from fraudster to fashionista, she is making a mark in the fashion industry and forging new paths for herself in a realm where she previously faced challenges.
