Ankara Police Department Narcotics Branch teams, along with a drug detection dog, conducted raids on 5 different residential addresses in the Çankaya, Altındağ, and Mamak districts targeting drug dealers. During the searches at the suspects’ addresses, a large amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized.

A total of 14 suspects were apprehended, 7 of whom were caught for the crime of “Drug Trafficking and Providing Stimulant Substances” while the other 7 were arrested for the crime of “Possession, Acceptance, and Purchase of Narcotic Substances.” Legal proceedings for all 14 individuals are ongoing.

The Ankara Police Department Narcotics Branch has been carrying out operations to combat drug trafficking in various districts of the city. The use of a drug detection dog has proven to be effective in locating hidden narcotics and dismantling drug networks.
