UK body language expert Judi James believes that the way someone bundles their burrito-wiches can reveal a lot about their personality traits. She claims that the wrapping techniques used to assemble a wrap can provide insights into a person’s ambition, creativity, and other characteristics. According to James, wraps allow individuals to express themselves in a unique way, with many different assembly options available. This study was conducted in collaboration with Mission Foods, a Texas-based tortilla company, to explore the art of wrap-rolling.

The research conducted by James and Mission Foods revealed that a majority of people believe that technique is essential when enjoying a wrap. While 39% of respondents prefer to close one end of the wrap and roll it up, 26% seal both sides like a burrito. Interestingly, nearly half of those polled were open to new ways of assembling wraps, indicating that wrapping can indeed be considered an art form where individuals have their own unique techniques. The study shed light on the creativity and personal choices involved in packaging up favorite ingredients in a wrap.

James identified six different personality types based on the way individuals wrap their food. The “hopeful overloader” crams as many ingredients as possible into the wrap, showcasing qualities of being an ambitious and big-picture thinker. On the opposite end of the spectrum is the “careful crafter,” who approaches wrapping with precision and attention to detail, embodying the qualities of a perfectionist. The “fumbler” represents a carefree spirit who is not concerned with the presentation but rather the taste of the food, while the “traditionalist” sticks to the same wrapping technique out of habit.

The study also identified the “wrap hacker,” who mixes and matches flavors and techniques like a mad scientist, displaying characteristics of curiosity and innovation. Lastly, the “one folder” seals their wrap with a single, half-moon style fold, representing a workaholic who values efficiency and simplicity. James emphasized that the wrapping technique used can reveal a lot about one’s personality traits, from ambition and creativity to attention to detail and carefree attitude. These findings highlight the unique and diverse ways individuals express themselves through the simple act of wrapping a burrito-wich.

Overall, the research conducted by Judi James and Mission Foods provides insight into the art of wrap-rolling and how it can reveal personality traits. The study showed that individuals have their own unique techniques for wrapping burritos, with some preferring precision and detail while others opt for a more carefree approach. By identifying six different personality types based on wrapping techniques, this research highlights the diverse ways in which individuals express themselves through food. Whether you are a hopeful overloader, careful crafter, fumbler, traditionalist, wrap hacker, or one folder, the way you assemble your wrap can provide insights into your character traits and personal preferences.
