A 92-year-old woman named Nebahat A. fell from the balcony of her apartment on the 5th floor of a building on Kadı Bayırı Street in Turgut Mahallesi for reasons that are currently unknown.
Upon being notified by her grandson, who lived with her, the police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
The injured woman was taken to Izmit Seka State Hospital by ambulance, but despite efforts to save her, she did not survive.
