A chemical gas leak occurred in a factory in the town of Taşköprü in Çiftlikköy, leading to the dispatch of AFAD, fire brigade, and 112 Emergency Health teams to the area. Three people affected by the gas leak were provided with oxygen therapy by health teams following the intervention of the teams to control the leak.

Additionally, a Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Threats (CBRNT) team from Bursa was requested at the factory as a precaution against potential risks. According to a statement from the Yalova Governorship, the leak was completely brought under control with the prompt response of the authorities.

The Yalova Governorship revealed that at 23.45, following a report of a leak of ammonia and methylamine gases to the Emergency Call Center, Yalova AFAD, health, and fire teams were dispatched to the area. The statement explained that the affected area was blocked off by the factory and the facility was shut down. Three individuals who had been affected by the gas were provided with respiratory treatment and their health conditions were reported to be stable.

The statement indicated that the gas at the site was being absorbed with water and by 00.30, the leak had been completely brought under control, with no further gas leakage observed at the spot. Teams from Yalova, Bursa, and Sakarya remained on standby at the factory for precautionary measures and periodic measurements were being carried out. The assessments showed no negative outcomes.
