Greco-Roman wrestler Alan Vera passed away on Monday night due to health complications stemming from a summer cardiac arrest he suffered while playing a club soccer match in New Jersey. Vera, who was only 33 years old, represented the U.S. National Team with class and brought a smile to those around him. He had qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics and was playing with friends for the New Jersey Wolves FC when he went into cardiac arrest on July 29.
