Billboard has announced that Alejandro Sanz will be one of the stars participating in the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Week. This iconic festival, celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, has become the premier global event dedicated to Latin music, culture, and entertainment. The event, organized by one of the most influential magazines in the music industry, will take place from October 14 to 18 at The Fillmore Miami Beach, in the Jackie Gleason Theater. Attendees will enjoy live performances, panel discussions, and exclusive Q&A sessions with some of the most prominent names in the music industry.

On August 28, the singer shared a post on Instagram confirming his participation in the event with his 7.5 million followers. Sanz will share the stage with other major Latin music figures such as Bad Gyal, Belinda, Camila Fernández, Chiquis, DANNA, Danny Ocean, Gloria Estefan, J Balvin, and many more. The news has generated great excitement on social media, and it’s no surprise given Sanz’s popularity. During his Sanz en Vivo 2023 tour, tickets sold out in advance in Latin America, with 27 out of his concerts being sold out. In less than two months, his U.S. fans will be able to sing along to hits like “Amiga mía,” “Corazón partío,” and “A la primera persona.”

Sanz’s songs have accompanied multiple generations and have become the soundtrack to unforgettable moments in the lives of many. From his debut album, “Viviendo Deprisa,” in 1991, to his most recent work, “SANZ,” released in December 2021, Alejandro Sanz has left an indelible mark on the music culture. With lyrics that resonate deeply in the hearts of his fans, he has created anthems that continue to shape the lives of his followers over the decades. With a career spanning over three decades and an impressive collection of Grammy awards, Sanz is one of the most prominent Latin music stars internationally.

His participation in the Billboard Latin Music Week marks his return to the event, having previously participated in an exclusive conversation in 2003, highlighting the festival’s ongoing relevance for artists and the music industry as a whole. “It is an honor to welcome Alejandro as he prepares to release new music. We pride ourselves on being a home for artists where they can speak creatively and openly, and we look forward to hearing what Alejandro has to say,” said Leila Cobo, Billboard’s content director for Latin America and Spanish. Spaces like this are important because beyond his music career, Sanz has used his voice to address social and political issues such as the Venezuela crisis, climate change, social inequality, and gender violence, establishing him as a key figure in the promotion of human rights and the evolution of Latin music.
