Following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck was seen ordering Chick-fil-A to his rental home in Brentwood, California. The actor was spotted outside his luxurious estate checking his food delivery before retreating back inside. This comes after a recent sighting of him happily grabbing Jack In the Box fast food, possibly indicating a weekend ritual for him.

Affleck, who has been living in the Brentwood rental since June, reportedly purchased a $20.5 million mansion in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles in July. However, he has yet to move in. He and Lopez have been trying to sell their 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom mega mansion for $68 million. The couple had purchased the home for $60 million last year after eloping in Las Vegas in July 2022.

Lopez was seen for the first time in public since filing for divorce from Affleck, sporting a gold band on her ring finger. Sources close to Lopez have revealed that she is both upset and relieved about the end of their relationship. While she wanted to figure things out and avoid a divorce, Affleck’s lack of commitment and interest in saving their marriage ultimately led to their split.

Insiders suggest that Affleck’s disapproval of the spotlight was a recurring issue in their relationship, dating back to their original engagement in 2002. Affleck’s lack of interest in making their marriage work left Lopez feeling disappointed and ultimately she felt the need to look out for herself. Despite feeling embarrassed and angry about the separation, sources indicate that Lopez is ready to move forward and start anew.

Affleck’s public display of enjoying fast food and remaining in his temporary rental while delaying his move to the new mansion he purchased implies a level of comfort with his current situation. It seems that he is taking his time in adjusting to his newly single status, with no signs of rushing into a new living arrangement. As he and Lopez continue to navigate their divorce proceedings, it remains to be seen how their individual lives will unfold post-separation.
