Longtime yachtie Aesha Scott believes that the South of France is the epicenter of the yachting industry. She shares this sentiment with the hosts of Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, attributing her love for the scenic region to her years of experience there. She recently returned to the Bravo reality show “Below Deck Mediterranean” after a stint on the Australia-based spinoff, “Below Deck Down Under.”

Scott began her nautical career in Antibes, near Cannes, and considers it her yachting home. She expresses her excitement at returning to the show with Captain Sandy Yawn, as it feels like a full-circle moment for her. Scott also recommends the hidden gem of Èze, a short train ride away from Cannes, as a must-visit destination for Cannes Lions Festival attendees looking for a unique experience.

During her time in France, Scott fell in love with the charming village of Èze, which offers stunning views and a sense of history with its cobblestone pathways. She describes the experience of walking up the hill to reach the ancient village as “mind-blowingly beautiful.” As Cannes Lions brings together a star-studded crowd including Queen Latifah, Yara Shahidi, Elon Musk, and others, Scott suggests taking some time to explore the picturesque surroundings beyond Cannes.

The Cannes Lions Festival, set to take place from June 17 to June 21, is expected to feature performances by musicians such as Tyla, Arcade Fire, Diplo, and Lenny Kravitz, adding to the excitement of the event. Celebrities like John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Andie MacDowell, and NFL players Jason and Travis Kelce are also anticipated to attend. With such a star-studded lineup, the festival promises to be a glamorous and entertaining affair.

As Scott reflects on her time in the South of France and her experiences in the yachting industry, she emphasizes the beauty and allure of the region. For her, the South of France holds a special place in her heart as the ultimate destination for luxury charters. With her return to “Below Deck Mediterranean,” she is grateful for the opportunity to revisit her old stomping grounds and share her love for the French Riviera with others.
