Govee recently released two updated versions of their original Lyra Floor Lamp – the Govee Floor Lamp Pro and Floor Lamp 2. The floor lamps have a unique design where the light faces the wall and can illuminate it with over 16 million colors, including various whites. Both lamps use an RGBICWW LED strip for excellent colors and whites. The Floor Lamp Pro is taller and brighter than the Floor Lamp 2, with a Bluetooth speaker in the base as an added feature. On the other hand, the Floor Lamp 2 has a glossy plastic base and fewer preset scenes, but it does have Matter support at launch.

The design of both lamps includes an RGBICWW LED strip in a silicone casing that snaps into an aluminum tube attached to a circular base. Govee upgraded the light strip quality, making the lamps even brighter. The Floor Lamp 2 has a glossy finish and illuminated base, while the Floor Lamp Pro has a fabric-covered base and additional lighting effects in the base. The Bluetooth speaker in the base of the Floor Lamp Pro can play audio, but it may distort at high volumes. Both lamps offer a clean, minimalist style that fits well in any room.

The Govee app allows for customization of the lamps, with over 80 preset scenes to choose from. The scenes offer color changes, motion, and even react to music through the lamp’s base or phone’s microphone. The lamps can be controlled via the app, voice control with Alexa and Google Assistant, or the included remote. Additionally, the lamps can integrate with other smart home devices, such as motion sensors, for automatic on/off settings. The Floor Lamp 2 is Matter-ready out-of-the-box, with the Floor Lamp Pro set to receive this feature in a future update.

Overall, both of Govee’s new floor lamps are great options for adding unique lighting and ambiance to your home. The upgraded LED strips provide better color reproduction and brightness, while the new lamp bases bring improved styling with added LEDs. The Bluetooth speaker in the Floor Lamp Pro may be a selling point for some users, depending on their preferences and where they plan to place the lamp in their home. Whether you choose the Floor Lamp Pro or Floor Lamp 2, both models offer excellent lighting options for your space.
