In a written statement, the Governor’s office expressed the need to inform the public about the footage showing the abuse of the large animal at the meat processing facility in the city, as reported by some media outlets and on social media. Subsequent to the investigation conducted in accordance with the information provided by the Amasya Public Prosecutor’s Office, the suspects identified as I.T., N.T., H.S., E.Ç., and A.A. were apprehended. The statement also mentioned that appropriate administrative sanctions are being applied to the facility and the suspects by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the Amasya Nature Conservation and National Parks Branch Directorate, in accordance with the relevant legislation.
