Çetin Erdoğan, a resident of Üsküdar Acıbadem Mahallesi, attracted attention as he went to Mihriban Suat Bedük Primary School to cast his vote with a decorative chicken by his side. Carrying his chicken named “Sultan”, Erdoğan cast his vote at the school. Nearby voters and officials at the school waited in the garden for a long time to capture Erdoğan’s images as he went to the polling station with his chicken.

Erdoğan stated that he left home in the morning with his chicken and headed to the school, mentioning that he does not separate from his chicken named “Paçalı Gezgin” during normal times either. Erdoğan expressed that it was the chicken’s second experience in voting and that they had previously gone to the polling station together in the general elections. He said, “We came here with good intentions, cast our votes. This is my fluffy chicken, Gezgin. He does not leave my side. We go everywhere together, to work, to hang out. We also voted in the general elections. People do not accept it as a voter, but we voted together. He will turn one year old on Eid al-Adha. I have three grandchildren, and this chicken, that makes 4 grandchildren.”

After casting his vote, Erdoğan left the school with his companion, Paçalı Gezgin.
