A garden worker named Ali Vurgun, who works as a gardener in a villa owned by residents living abroad in İnkaya Mahallesi, experienced an explosion in the basement for reasons that have not yet been determined. Following the explosion, a fire broke out in the basement and on the roof, and windows on other floors were shattered.

Vurgun’s clothes caught on fire, and he threw himself into the street as he was surrounded by flames. With the help of a passerby, Vurgun was able to remove his clothes, but he sustained burns on his body.

Upon receiving the report, numerous firefighting, emergency medical services, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

Injured Vurgun received initial treatment and was admitted to Bursa City Hospital for further treatment.

The firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in approximately 1 hour and carried out cooling operations.

It is currently under investigation whether the person found in the basement died in the fire or for another reason.

After extinguishing the fire, the firefighters entered the building and found a body in the basement. The body, whose identity could not be determined due to the burns on its body, was sent to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for DNA testing and autopsy.

In his initial statement, Vurgun, who is undergoing treatment, mentioned that the body in the villa belonged to a 52-year-old individual named M.Ş. Police are still investigating both the identification of this individual and whether they died in the fire or for another reason, as well as the cause of the explosion.

Footage from a nearby security camera shows that smoke rose from the villa after the explosion, the gardener threw himself into the street with his clothes on fire, he was taken into an ambulance after removing his clothes, and receiving assistance from a passerby.
