A minibus driver in Bağcılar stopped at the Yüzyıl Bridge location to pick up workers. A van coming from behind collided with the worker shuttle, causing the van to swerve and hit the barriers before flipping over.
As a result of the accident, four people in the worker shuttle and the van driver were injured. Upon notification, a number of ambulances, fire brigade, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After initial treatment, the five injured individuals were taken to nearby hospitals.

The accident caused traffic congestion as one lane towards Mahmutbey was closed, leading to long vehicle queues. Police and municipality teams are currently working on removing the vehicles involved in the accident from the scene.
