Gray Zone Warfare has become a massive hit, topping the Steam charts and selling over half a million copies in just four days. Despite its success, there are still some annoying issues that need to be addressed before the game can reach its full potential. These problems range from longstanding issues to more recent changes and updates that have been rolled out since launch. While none of these issues are game-breaking, they have led to some players dropping the game and waiting for future patches before returning.

One major complaint among players is the lack of helicopter availability in full servers, with only four choppers available per faction leading to long wait times for rides. Many players have called for more helicopters to be added, but a simpler solution could be to add more information on where a chopper is going to the map. By including the final destination of a helicopter on the info tab, as well as a voice message alerting players if a location is already being serviced by another helicopter, the issue of a lack of helicopters on the map could be addressed.

Another longstanding issue in Gray Zone Warfare is landing zone camping, where players can easily gun down others as they jump off the helicopter. While the ability to shoot from the helicopter was added to try to combat this issue, players can still hide in the trees around each landing zone. One solution proposed is to have an AI retrieve gear from players killed after landing, allowing them to retrieve their gear without having to head back to the landing zone.

An annoying problem in the game is the lack of auto money stacking, where players have to manually stack money each time they receive it. This could easily be fixed by making any new cash automatically join the biggest pile with space left, making inventory management much easier. Additionally, an option to sort one’s stash would be greatly appreciated by players.

The economy in Gray Zone Warfare revolves around the cash vendors give for completing tasks, but there are limited ways to make money in the game. Players find that most loot falls into two categories, either useful or worth so little that it’s barely worth selling. Adding more ways to make money, such as loot specifically for selling, would add variety to the gameplay and make the economy more dynamic.

Players have also expressed frustration with not being able to use meds from squad mates who are in a coma. If a squad mate ends up in a coma and has the only meds needed to revive someone else, players are currently unable to access them. Allowing players to loot only meds from a downed squad mate would not only add an interesting gameplay element but also prevent frustration in situations where one teammate ends up being unable to assist moments after jumping off the helicopter.
