According to a statement on the website of the Turkish Coast Guard Command, a rubber boat carrying irregular migrants drifted due to a motor failure, prompting a rescue operation to be dispatched to the area.

A total of 47 irregular migrants, including 22 children, were rescued from the rubber boat by the teams and taken ashore.

After the necessary procedures, the migrants were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.

The incident highlights the ongoing challenges and dangers faced by irregular migrants attempting to cross dangerous waters in search of a better life. It also underlines the importance of timely and effective responses by authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of those in distress at sea.
