A collision between a minibus and a car in Kırıkkale resulted in 22 people being injured. The identities and license plates of the drivers involved in the accident, which took place at the Yenimahalle Cemetery Junction on the Kırıkkale-Kırşehir highway, have not yet been determined. Upon receiving the notification of the accident, a large number of police, health, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. The 22 injured individuals were taken to hospitals in the city for treatment.
The Kırşehir direction of the highway, which had been closed to traffic for a while, was reopened for transportation after the vehicles involved in the accident were removed from the road. Governor Mehmet Makas, Provincial Police Chief Mustafa Emre Başbuğ, and Provincial Health Director Dr. Murat Ağırtaş visited the injured individuals being treated at the Yüksek Ihtisas Hospital and Kırıkkale University Medical Faculty Hospital to offer their best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Governor Mehmet Makas informed journalists after leaving the hospital that a traffic accident resulting in injuries occurred at the traffic lights when a car lost control and collided with a minibus at the Yenimahalle Cemetery Junction. Makas stated that 22 citizens were injured in the accident and added, “The injured individuals have been admitted to the Yüksek Ihtisas Hospital and Kırıkkale University Medical Faculty Hospital for treatment. We wish for a full recovery. We have one severely injured person, and hopefully there will be no complications for him either. We are ensuring rapid action with all our teams to reopen the road to traffic and transport the injured individuals. We have enough doctors and health personnel to provide treatment. At the moment, we have no problems.”
