As the 2024 NFL opening week quickly approaches, coaches and executives finalize their teams’ rosters. Evaluating all positions for past performances and projected potential, have led to a preseason All-Pro team announcement. Not all prominent names made the list, but the focus was on recent performance and production, rather than past achievements.

Leading the offense are Patrick Mahomes as a quarterback from Kansas City Chiefs, recognized for his ability to secure wins regardless of his team. Serving as a running back is the San Francisco 49ers’ Christian McCaffrey whose versatility and consistency in Kyle Shahanan’s offense earned him his place. Variety in the wide receiver category led to positions for the Miami Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill, Dallas Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb, and Detroit Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown. The tight end position is filled by George Kittle of the 49ers, who displays exceptional skills in both attack and defense.

The All-Pro line is held by Trent Williams of the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs’ Joe Thuney in their respective tackle and guard positions. Frank Ragnow from the Detroit Lions as the center, with Tyler Smith from the Dallas Cowboys and Penei Sewell from the Detroit Lions in guard and tackle positions respectively, complete the offensive line-up.

On defense, the Cleveland Browns’ Myles Garrett and Pittsburgh Steelers’ TJ Watt act as front runners on the edge. Chris Jones of the Kansas City Chiefs and Dexter Lawrence of the New York Giants cover the defensive tackle position with their fearlessly aggressive play. Linebacker positions are filled by Fred Warner of the San Francisco 49ers and Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys. The cornerback positions are covered by the New York Jets’ Sauce Gardner and Derek Stingley from the Houston Texans, followed by the Chiefs’ Trent McDuffie as the nickel back.

Occupying the safety positions are Antoine Winfield from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, recognized for his record-breaking season, and Jessie Bates of the Atlanta Falcons for their defense-boosting capabilities. With the squads selected based on their recent performance and potential, this preseason All-Pro team is set to make waves in the 2024 NFL season.
