In his weekly sports betting column, FOX Sports analyst Sam Panayotovich provides insights on some of the latest games in college football and the NFL. Following a losing weekend due to Baylor’s inability to stop Colorado’s quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Panayotovich highlights three college football games and three NFL matches he is interested in.

The first game on his radar is Illinois @ Penn State. He notes that while Illinois may seem like the underdog, Penn State’s power rating is extremely high and the team has a history of demolishing weaker competition. He predicts a Penn State victory by more than 17.5 points. The next match, North Carolina @ Duke, sees Panayotovich back North Carolina, despite the team giving up 70 points in their previous game. He doesn’t think a rebuilding Duke team should be favored, therefore, he places his bet on North Carolina to lose by less than 2.5 points, or possibly, win outright.

Third on his college football list is Colorado @ UCF. Despite sharp play on UCF, Panayotovich notes that a resistance on Colorado at +14.5 and +14 hints that the team may struggle in conference play — resembling their tough time last year. However, Panayotovich believes Colorado, who is set to exploit a very weak Knights’ pass defense, is worth the bet and might end up losing by less than 14 points, or potentially even winning.

Moving on to the NFL games, Panayotovich first addresses the LA Rams @ Chicago Bears. Despite the Rams’ great comeback against the 49ers last Sunday, the analyst predicts a Bears win, due to the team’s top five defense and the Rams’ injury-ridden offensive line. In the game between Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans, while acknowledging the widespread dismissal of the Jags, Panayotovich is willing to bet on them in a divisional game, predicting a less than 6.5 points loss or even an outright win.

Lastly, the Seahawks @ Detroit Lions match is set to see a perfect 3-0 to the Under for Detroit. Even though the team’s totals closed in the low 50s in the last three games, Panayotovich believes this is a chance to buy a numerical dip because of the Lions’ lowest total of the season. He bets on Over 46.5 points to be scored by both teams combined, based on the possibility of Seattle’s two essential defensive linemen not making it to the game. The columnist emphasizes the importance of staying informed and making the best analysis before making any bets.
