The Turkish Coast Guard Command dispatched a boat team to Urla and Cesme after receiving information about irregular migrants on rubber boats in the area, according to a statement on the Coast Guard’s website.
The teams apprehended 101 irregular migrants, including 21 children, on two rubber boats they intercepted.
After processing, the irregular migrants were sent to the Provincial Immigration Administration Directorate.
The Turkish Coast Guard Command is continuing its efforts to combat irregular migration and ensure the safety of the waters.
