Private equity firm Certares expects to make a nine-figure investment in the health and wellness travel space, believing it to be a multi-billion-dollar opportunity within the industry. United Airlines’ chief commercial officer Andrew Nocella addressed the impact of Boeing strikes on the airline industry and noted that despite the ongoing issues with Boeing, United Airlines has managed to maintain its flight schedules. Dubai Tourism CEO Issam Kazim talked about the efforts to broaden the city’s traveler base by shifting focus from celebrities and influencers to real people and families.

The growth potential in the travel experiences and activities sector was discussed by Tripadvisor CEO Matt Goldberg and other industry leaders at the forum. The importance of providing diverse offerings and experiences to cater to different types of travelers was a recurring theme throughout the event.
